Many people love to sit around and talk about the good old days and how wonderful it would be to be able to relive those experiences. It turns out that you can go back in time in some ways, especially around Cincinnati, and one way to do it is to visit a nostalgic drive-in movie theatre. One of the closest to the Queen City is not too far and has been around since 1948. Holiday Auto Theatre is a retro drive-in that takes you back to those good old days and is a night of fun for the entire family.

The Holiday Auto Theatre in Hamilton dates back to 1948 and continues to delight movie-goers today. It’s open seasonally, spring through fall, and is one of the only drive-in movie theatres left in our region.

Spots at the drive-in are first come, first served, so plan on arriving early. Two cars are expected to fit between the two designated poles, and then you can decide whether to watch from your car or from chairs and blankets in front of your vehicle.

Make sure to hit up the snack bar during your visit, as they offer all of the classic movie-watching favorites. You can bring your own snacks with you, but you’ll need to purchase a $5 food permit to do so. More information on this and other guidelines is available here.
