Lake MacBride State Park in Solon, Iowa has been known as a boater’s paradise for years, but recently, families are discovering just how wonderful it can be to hike here.

The Field Campus Trail (#3 on the map) takes you on a scenic adventure up to the Lake MacBride Spillway. From there, cross the dam and hike (trail #1) to the beach!
