Henika District Library has delighted locals and out-of-towners alike for more than 100 years. The institution was funded by local philanthropist Julia Robinson Henika.

Upon her death in 1899, Mrs. Henika willed $2,000 to the Wayland Ladies Library Association for the building’s construction. Doors opened to the public in 1900.
