For a small state, Rhode Island has a pretty fantastic brewery scene. Around the areas of Providence and Pawtucket, you can hop from one brewery to the next in a matter of minutes. But at some point, you’ll want to hit the highway and head to the western side of the state to visit a very unique beer making location. This Rhode Island brewery found its home in a former macaroni factory and it’s a one-of-a-kind destination.

Grey Sail Brewing brewed their first batch of Flagship Ale in the former Westerly Macaroni Factory. This 1920s building that once processed grains to make pasta now turns grains into beer.

While the brewery itself had always been open for tastings and growler fills, a taproom was added to expand the enjoyment. Located in a historic home, at the same complex as the brewery, you can visit to taste, enjoy, and relax.
