A family-owned and run orchard and bakery, Gardener’s has been headed by the Gradinariu family since 2013. In fact, the farm has been a dream come true for the family that immigrated to the U.S. from Romania in 1990.

Today, the 45-acre farm boasts a 20-acre orchard with more than 2,500 apple and peach trees in an assortment of varieties.

Unlike the orchard, however, the bakery didn’t make its debut until 2016. And, the bakery resulted from the difficulty of finding homemade bread in stores. Eventually, the bakery evolved to make and sell fresh pies, donuts, danishes, and other goodies.

Of course, if you love pie, you’ll find some of the best — apple, peach, and pumpkin, for example — at the bakery that also sells freshly-pressed apple cider.
