I’m always on the hunt for clear water in Oklahoma because I like to see what’s swimming next to me. As you would guess, it’s not all that easy to come by in the middle of red dirt country, which is why I love it when I find water that’s crystal clear. Keep reading and I’ll introduce you to a creek that will become your new favorite summer destination.

Flint Creek is located about 7 miles west of Arkansas along Highway 412 in Delaware County, Oklahoma. They are open Monday thru Friday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm and Sunday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend.

Just look how clear the water is in the creek. Bring your inflatables and enjoy a summer day staying cool.

In most places, the water is ankle to waist deep for adults. Places on the other side of the creek under the cliffs can range from 8’ to 12’ deep.

Swimming in this cold creek will keep you busy all day long. The water is colder than the lakes in the state, so it’s more refreshing on hot days than other bodies of water.

You can also camp right along the creek for only $20 per night. For more information or reservations for Flint Creek Waterpark, call or text 918-813-6488 or check out their Facebook page (link below).
