The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Committee named Fallingwater to the prestigious list on July 7, 2019.

Seven other Frank Lloyd Wright designs - including Hollyhock House in California and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York - also became World Heritage Sites.

More than 1,000 sites are World Heritage Sites, but the only other Pennsylvania site to hold that title is Independence Hall in Philadelphia.
