There’s a magical place in Utah that’s a resting spot for millions of migrating birds every year, and you can explore it by walking on the boardwalks right over the marsh. Check out the Great Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve:
The Great Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve is located on the eastern banks of the lake in Layton. It covers 4,400 acres that include wetlands and uplands, and you can explore it on the boardwalk trails.

You can visit year-round, from sunrise to sunset. There’s no charge to explore this beautiful sanctuary. The Visitor Center is open every day March through October from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.; November through February from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
