If there is one beverage the Hawaiian Islands are known for, it’s coffee. After all, Hawaii is the only American state with land able to grow coffee. And while we love all of the incredible coffee farms you’ll find across the Hawaiian Islands, there is one variety that has become world-famous. Grown in a small section of fertile volcanic soil on Hawaii Island’s Kona coast, Kona coffee is definitely a cut above any coffee you can find, well, pretty much anywhere. And if you want to experience the best of the best, you will plan a visit to the Royal Kona Center. Coffee lovers, this one’s for you.

Nestled in the heart of the Kona Coffee belt on Hawaii Island’s western shore right off the Mamalahoa Highway, the Royal Kona Coffee Center is home to some of the world’s best coffee, phenomenal views, quite a bit of educational fun, and a plethora of Hawaiian souvenirs.

Not only will visitors learn about coffee production and how it has significantly influenced the local culture, but also taste a variety of coffees until the java jitters set in, and stroll through the gift shop to stock up on fun, locally made souvenirs to take home — whether said home is twenty miles away, on a neighboring island, or the American mainland.
