All this hot weather has everyone searching for new ways to stay cool and one of our favorites is a dip in Turner Falls Swimming Hole. This gorgeous area is home to the largest waterfall in the state and a huge swimming area open to the public. It’s tucked away in the Arbuckle Mountains, along Honey Creek and is a summer adventure to remember.

Turner Falls Park is located just six miles from downtown Davis in south-central Oklahoma in the heart of the Arbuckle Mountains.

It’s located on Honey Creek and provides several swimming and wading areas, one of which is the area next to the falls.

This isn’t your typical swimming pool! The 77-foot waterfall cascades into a natural pool and it’s one of the most gorgeous places in the state.

It’s an adventure the whole family will enjoy. Not only can you enjoy swimming in the cold water but there are lots of areas to explore in the park too.

You can hike up top of the falls and enjoy the scenic views from above. There are also wading areas in Honey Creek - and even caves to explore in these ancient mountains.

The park requires admission and will stop selling tickets for the day if they reach capacity. But don’t worry, you can go online ahead of time and purchase your tickets so you’re guaranteed a spot.

Everyone should visit this spectacular swimming hole at least once this summer. It can get crowded on the weekends, so we recommend visiting during the week to avoid the crowds.
