Keep an eye out for the sign alerting you that you’ve arrived at Cucumber Falls, which features a parking lot at the top of the falls.

The .03-mile hike to Cucumber Falls will lead you down a staircase that can become slippery when wet. (If you visit in the wintertime, just beware of ice.)

Before you head down the stairs, however, take a few minutes to admire Cucumber Falls from the top. (The top is also the perfect place to snap photos.)

Once you get to the bottom of the staircase, admire the 30-foot waterfall that cascades into a gentle pool.

Feel the cool mist when you stroll behind the waterfall that’s just one of three at Ohiopyle State Park. (Ohiopyle Falls and Jonathan Run Falls are the others.)

Dip your feet in the cool water. However, pay attention to the signs warning that visitors are not allowed to rappel or to boat on the waterfall without prior written consent.
