Echo State Park Is The Newest State Park In Utah

Utah is home to 44 wonderful state parks, and the newest addition is just a year old. Echo State Park is a small park with a reservoir, camping, and tons of great fishing. Take a look:

Echo State Park is a little gem in Coalville. For many years, Echo Resort was a favorite for Utah anglers, and last May, the state officially took it over, adding it as the 44th park in the Beehive State’s park system.

The pretty little reservoir was created in 1931 when Echo Dam was built for water storage and to provide irrigation to area farmers.

Today, it’s popular spot for Utah anglers who come here to catch smallmouth bass, perch, and catfish. The adjacent Weber River is also a great spot to fly fish for trout.

The park is undergoing all kinds of improvements, including a brand new campground.

Though the new campground is still under construction, 20 new beach sites are available to park your camper or RV.

Bring your boat along! The boat ramp helps you get into the water quickly. This reservoir isn’t nearly as crowded as Jordanelle or Rockport, so you’ll have even more fun here.

A new boat dock was recently completed, making this reservoir even more attractive to boaters.

Echo Reservoir is also the site of the annual Echo Triathlon. This year’s triathlon will be held July 19, 2019
