Louisiana isn’t known for its elevation. In fact, we are known for our lack of it. While the southern half of the state doesn’t have many rolling hills to traverse, there is one little mountain hiding in central Louisiana that should be on everyone’s bucket list. This particular mountain has a hiking trail that will give you some truly unforgettable views of the Louisiana landscape.

Topping out at 535 feet, Driskill Mountain is Louisiana’s highest natural summit.

To get to Driskill Mountain, you’ll need to park at the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church in Bienville.

While the trail is on private property, the general public is welcome to use it.

The trail to the summit is just shy of two miles.

As you are hiking up a mountainside, the trail obviously has an elevation gain, but it’s a fairly easy hike that just about anyone can do.
