Sometimes, you walk into a business that’s so spectacular it takes your breath away. That’s certainly the case with this iconic steakhouse nestled in the heart of Central Louisiana. The only thing better than the atmosphere is the food – which might just make you fall in love at first bite. Steak lovers, this one’s for you because today we are heading over to the Diamond Grill in Alexandria.

You’ll find the Diamond Grill tucked away in the beautiful downtown area of Alexandria. The restaurant first opened its doors in the 1990s, but the building itself is much older.

Originally constructed in 1865, this Art Deco building was first home to C.A. Schnack’s Jewelry Store, where it was a local landmark of sorts for 66 years.

Today, the appropriately named Diamond Grill has kept the same elegance and charm as the jewelry store while simultaneously adding an intimate fine dining experience.
