If there’s something you can always count on to be in abundance here in the Empire State, it’s waterfalls. In fact, there are so many here in New York that we’ve even created entire road trips dedicated to them! If you think you’ve crossed off all of our state’s most noteworthy waterfalls, then it’s time you take a look at this short but sweet hike that will lead you to one of the most breathtaking natural wonders here in Central New York.

Tucked away in a location that’s closeby to so many different regions of New York, Delphi Falls County Park sits only a half-hour outside of Syracuse.

If you’ve never heard of this park, that’s most likely due to the fact that this amazing natural wonder only opened up to the public in the summer of 2018.

Covering 60-acres of land, Limestone Creek runs through the heart of the park and showcases not one but two major waterfalls.

The hike to reach Delphi Falls is one that’s not only short and sweet but also ADA accessible, which means this is one waterfall that truly everyone can enjoy.

After parking in the small lot that’s available at the trailhead off Cardner Road, you’ll quickly find yourself standing before a new waterfall that you’ve never seen before.

While the park is still in the process of being developed, with plans to expand over the upcoming years, there’s still so much to explore. Keep an eye out for fossils in the shale!

Speaking of exploring, there’s even an upper-tier to Delphi Falls that will steal your breath away, although it’s currently not part of the ADA accessible trail.
