Here’s one of our favorites that we’ve recently discovered and it’s right out of a fairytale.

Named after Charles TeWinkle, the first mayor of Costa Mesa in 1953, this picturesque park captures a little slice of local history.

You’ll find a little bit of everything at TeWinkle Park. A man-made lake, barbecues, picnic tables, and plenty of areas designated for sports and recreation.

There are so many things to love about this park. In addition to the lakeside setting, you’ll adore the abundance of trees that fill TeWinkle Park.

Explore the park and soak up the scenery along the wide walking paths. It’s a relaxing place to wander.

This enchanting setting is the place to be on a hot SoCal day as you can escape from the sun under the shade of one of the many trees throughout the park.

The little ones will love it here just as much as the grown-ups when they spot this play structure. What a perfect place to enjoy with the kiddos on a sunny afternoon.

It wouldn’t be summer in SoCal without an outdoor picnic at the park. Good thing there’s plenty of green grass around here.

One of our favorite times of day to visit is right before sunset as soft shades of pink and orange blanket the park. We love this serene place to end the day.
