Route 50 is a long, long road. If you’ve ever driven across West Virginia on it then you know how lonesome it can get on this never-ending highway. But there is one stop most people in the know look forward to and that’s in Rowlesburg between Grafton and Aurora. There’s an iconic general store that has everything under the sun, including yummy food and ice cream. And it has something else you won’t be able to pass up….

Next door to the old general store is Cools Springs Park and it’s filled with old farm equipment, trains, machinery and more!

The next time you’re passing through, stop and walk around. The park is always open and it’s free.
