New York City traffic is the stuff of nightmares, especially when you’re running late for a flight. Now, travelers with a bit of spare change can catch a regularly scheduled helicopter ride from Manhattan to JFK Airport.

The new program is operated by BLADE, a helicopter company offering five-minute, one-way flights between Manhattan and John F. Kennedy Airport for $195.

Though the service undoubtedly costs more than a taxi ride, it’s not so expensive that it prices out time-strapped passengers who aren’t millionaires. Starting on March 25, 2019, the flights will operate on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Helicopters will take off every 30 minutes from the BLADE Lounge West at the West 30th Street Heliport.

If you like the sound of helicopter rides out of the city, BLADE also offers an Unlimited Pass for the cool price of $22,000 for unlimited flights between Manhattan and the Hamptons.
