Utah isn’t famous for its wine scene – we only have a few wineries in the entire state. Even though we’ll likely never compete with Napa Valley, our few wineries produce some excellent wine. Here’s an award-winning winery in Moab that you’ll want to visit soon.

Castle Creek Winery got its start in 2006, with plantings of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapevines. Since those early first days, the winery has continued to grow and develop. Today, it produces award-winning wines.

Moab is actually a great place to grow grapes for wine. The days are hot during the summer, but with an elevation of just over 4,000 feet, Moab cools off at night, which makes for the perfect grape-growing climate.
