The Festival of Spring is a month-long event that welcomes visitors from near and far to celebrate the blooming of over one million tulips and daffodils. Nothing says the arrival of spring quite like a farm filled with colorful tulips and daffodils. This exact experience awaits at a local farm in Virginia known as Burnside Farms.

Each year, the farm plants over eight acres of springtime flowers. While each year produces a different production of blooms, the result is always spectacular.

Visitors from near and far make the journey to Burnside Farms for the annual Festival of Spring. Lasting nearly one month, this unique event invites visitors to pick their own gorgeous flowers.

The rate of blooming and the amount of flowers all depends on Mother Nature’s schedule. That’s why you’ll have to check the updated field report to know when to time your visit perfectly.

Tulips are priced at $1 per stem and daffodils are two for $1. The farm strongly recommends bringing your own basket and having a water source in your car for the drive home.

There’s also an admission fee for touring the farm. If you plan on visiting two times or more within the season, you can opt for a passport which will get you a discounted entry. Kids will enjoy additional activities such as a bounce house, wagon rides, and cornhole.
