The sandstone spires are created as the water erodes the surface underneath the pebbles. As the water splashes on the sandstone, little two-foot-tall fingers of sandstone are created. The boardwalks will give you a perfect bird’s eye view of these delicate creations.

Several hundred yards of beach lines the shores of the Bogue Chitto River.
