If you’re craving the nostalgic atmosphere of a good old-fashioned diner, the Blue Benn in Vermont is just the place. Step inside and the ambiance might remind you of yesteryear but the food is a forward-thinking blend of deliciousness. Sonny and Marylou Monroe have been the owners of the diner since 1974. While they serve traditional bacon, eggs, and burgers, you’ll also find tasty meatless dishes that arrived on the menu far before the vegetarian movement ever began.

The authentic railcar was shipped from New Jersey in 1948 and assembled on its current spot in Bennington. Easily recognizable with its retro exterior and bright blue trim, the Blue Benn is old-school in appearance but modern in cuisine.
