Summertime means getting outside and exploring this beautiful state. While Rhode Island isn’t known for its waterfalls, there are several peppered throughout the state that are beautiful in their own way. This one waterfall trail in Rhode Island may be short and sweet, but the scenery along the way is simply stunning. Let’s check it out.

Stepstone Falls is located within the Arcadia Management Area, the largest recreational area in Rhode Island.

With nearly 14,000 acres to explore, this protected area is a nature lover’s paradise.

To get to the falls, you’ll need to hike down the Ben Utter Trail, which will lead you right to the falls.

This out-and-back trail is just shy of three miles and is good for all skill levels, including kids and even dogs.

They may not be huge 20-foot waterfalls, but they are absolutely beautiful and the perfect spot to sit for a spell and just listen to the water crashing.
