Google/Brennen Duffield The Beaver Bridge is a historic landmark built back in the 1940s. You may have seen it in the 2005 movie Elizabethtown starring Orlando Bloom and Jessica Biel. The one-lane suspension bridge is picture-perfect any time of year and there’s a nearby trail on the northern side as well.

Less than a minute from the bridge is the perfectly lovely Beaver Town Inn and Trading Post.

The trading post has been a cornerstone of Beaver’s charm for over 100 years.

Google/Beaver Town Inn & Trading Post The namesake of the town, Wilson Ashbury Beaver, established the trading post in 1901 using limestone from the surrounding area. According to locals, General Sterling Price and his officers stayed at the trading post after their retreat from the Battle of Pea Ridge. This seems to be rooted more in lore than in fact but it’s one of the many stories that makes up the place’s old world feel.

Today the trading post is an eclectic antiques store. It’s easy to spend a few hours getting lost in here.
