Angel’s Rest follows a portion of the famous Appalachian Trail, so you may have a chance to interact with thru-hikers when you visit.

The trail is 4.3 miles out-and-back and follows an incline the entire way up. Just remember, the higher you go, the better the views!

Finally, you’ll arrive at the breathtaking Angel’s Rest Overlook. You’ll surely want to take a moment to catch your breath while admiring the exquisite scenery down below.

And that’s not all. Continue up the trail for just .6 miles more and you’ll reach a second overlook that’s arguably more striking than the first. This is called the Wilburn Valley Overlook.
