If you love hitting the slopes but don’t like dealing with the uncertainty of winter weather, this indoor ski resort might be your new favorite snowy destination.
Big SNOW America is North America’s first indoor ski resort. In fact, it’s the first one in the Western Hemisphere. Here’s what you need to know.
American Dream / Big Snow Website Big SNOW America at American Dream Meadowlands is an indoor ski destination slated to open in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The park has been in the works for more than 10 years and launch day is finally approaching. When the doors open, guests will be able to enter an indoor wonderland of skiing, snowboarding, and play.
American Dream / Big Snow Website The park will offer year-round skiing and boarding on real snow. The snow will be created using highly-pressured air and fine sprays of water. The temperature will be just like you’d expect to find on a real ski slope and the snow will feel totally authentic. Even cooler, all the snow that melts from guests activities will be fed back into the system to fall again as new powder.
Pexels The resort will offer areas for skiers and snowboarders of all levels, as well as full- and half-day camps for children. There will also be lessons available for beginners. If skiing’s not your thing, you can head to the ice climbing wall, have fun with the park’s “snow play products,” or get cozy in the resort’s chalet.
The opening of Big SNOW America is planned for spring 2019 and you’ll find it located at 1 Meadowlands Plaza, East Rutherford, NJ. Click here to visit their website and learn more about this attraction.
