One of the best parts about it officially being spring in New York is the fact that slowly but surely, we’re getting to see our landscapes transform. After getting out our hopefully last April snow showers for the year, now some of our favorite floral festivals are popping up right around the corner. If you follow us at Only In Buffalo, you most likely already read about the breathtaking Cherry Blossom Festival happening this spring but if you can’t make it all the way out to Western New York then we have the perfect alternative for you. A historic event that’s been celebrated for generations, take a look at this beautiful tulip festival before the season passes you by!

Celebrating its 71st year, Albany’s annual Tulip Festival will be happening once again on Mother’s Day Weekend this year.

Head to Washington Park on the weekend of May 10th and you can experience Albany’s grand spring festival for yourself.

If you’re unfamiliar with the festival or have never attended, it’s a unique celebration of the area’s Dutch heritage. Did you know Albany is the country’s oldest Dutch settlement?
