Minnesota may be known as the land of 10,000 lakes, but Alaska has that beat! This incredible state boasts over 3 million lakes. Many of them are valleys carved out by glaciers, and they can get incredibly deep. One stunning one is so deep it feels like a completely bottomless lake! Lake Clark, in Lake Clark National Park, is more than a whopping 1,000 feet deep!
Lake Clark is the deepest lake in Alaska, coming in at 1,054 feet deep. This makes it seem like a completely bottomless lake!

This lake comes in at about 128 square miles, making it the seventh largest freshwater lake in Alaska.
