When most visitors head to Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, their sights are set on immersing themselves in the history of the old town wedged between the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. And while there IS a lot to see and do in the historic area, there’s also an amazing miniature train ride just outside the old town that is a can’t miss on any trip to Harpers Ferry.
It’s located over on Bakerton Road and if you’re not careful, you may miss the entrance, so keep a keen eye out for the railroad tracks and the red railroad station.

For a mere two dollars, you’ll be able to hop aboard the Joy Line Railroad for a fun little ride through this miniature valley.
