The Sandbar was opened by Peach Madl in 1989, inspired by the themes and people of Key West. Since their start, they’ve been voted the best bar in Lawrence, and definitely lives up to that hype.

Keeping things fun and lighthearted, all of their special house drinks are served with toys, like miniature sharks and necklaces.

The Sandbar is open from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Friday, 1 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturdays, and 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Sundays.
